I have inherited a 'BT' 2Wire 1800 ADSL router left over from a 2Mbit
upgrade (we used some decent kit instead!). The router is fine for home use and has a built-in Wireless Access Point. According to the 2Wire Web site all their 1800s have a 54Mbit Wireless Access Point but I can only connect at 11Mbit. Can anyone confirm the right spec? Does BT supply 'older' or 'knobbled' ones? Stating the obvious, you are using a 54Mbit wireless card in your PC/Laptop right ? -- Andy M Jenkins http://www.uk-bug.net : The UK Broadband Usergroup |

That would be the sticky-outey-of-the-slotty-thingy with 54g written on it - right? ;-D I actually cancelled the original post 3 mins after posting because I discovered that 2Wire have 802.11b (11Mbps) and 802.11g (54Mbps) versions of the 1800 - guess which one BT supply :-( |
